How You Can Help Change the Life of a Child
For the past 14 years, Cambridge Health Alliance has sponsored the Bike 4 Books Spin-A-Thon event which benefits Project READ, the hospital’s childhood literacy program. All of the proceeds raised from this event are used to purchase books for children to ease their fears when they come to CHA’s Pediatrics Department for their wellness visit.
As a participant in the Spin-A-Thon, this is where you can create your own personal fundraising page to share your connection to and passion for why you are participating in our annual Bike4Books Spin-A-Thon event. Then, share your page with your friends, family, colleagues, peers, and social networks and invite them to financially support your participation in the event.
What your donation does
Your donation will allow CHA to purchase brand new books for all of the children who come to the hospital for their wellness visits. Your support will have an immediate and direct impact on the lives of our young patients, the majority of whom come from families who struggle to provide the basic necessities for them. As research points out, reading is an incredibly effective and positive way to develop a child's mind and CHA’s Project READ program helps to care for the whole child – mind, body and spirit.

- Event Registration is $35.00.
- We recommend setting a fundraising goal of $200.00, then you can increase it as you receive donations.
- Make a personal donation as the initial gift for your page. Invite friends and family to visit your page and make a contribution.
